Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LeadLens (the "Service"), operated by Neural Forge ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using LeadLens at leadlens.neural-forge.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately.
2. Description of Service
LeadLens is a web-based trade show badge scanner that allows users to:
- Capture trade show badge photos using their device camera.
- Extract contact information from badge images using AI-powered vision (xAI Grok, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini — user selectable).
- Enrich contacts with professional data from third-party providers (Prospeo, Hunter.io, People Data Labs, Clearbit).
- Store contacts locally in browser-based IndexedDB storage.
- Export contacts as CSV or sync to HubSpot CRM.
- Create and share digital business cards with QR codes.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must create an account via Supabase Authentication to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
3.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized account access that is not caused by our negligence.
3.3 Account Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your server-side data will be removed within 30 days. Locally stored data (IndexedDB) can be cleared through the app or your browser settings.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to collect contact information without proper authorization (e.g., scanning badges of individuals who have not consented to sharing their information at an event).
- Use extracted or enriched data for unsolicited spam, harassment, or any purpose that violates applicable laws (including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or CCPA).
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, usage quotas, or authentication mechanisms.
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to interact with the Service.
- Upload or process images that do not contain trade show badges (e.g., government IDs, financial documents, or inappropriate content).
- Impersonate another person or entity when creating a digital business card.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its data without our written consent.
5. API Usage and Free Tier Limits
LeadLens offers a free tier with the following lifetime limits (not per-show — these caps apply for the life of the account):
Usage beyond free tier limits requires a paid subscription. We reserve the right to modify tier limits with reasonable notice. Abuse of the free tier (including creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits) may result in account suspension.
6. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
Important Notice
LeadLens uses AI vision technology to extract text from badge images. While we strive for accuracy, AI may misread, omit, or incorrectly interpret information on badges due to factors including image quality, badge design, lighting conditions, text formatting, or unusual fonts. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all extracted contact information before using it for business purposes. Neural Forge makes no guarantees regarding the completeness or accuracy of AI-extracted data.
Similarly, data returned by third-party enrichment services (Prospeo, Hunter.io, People Data Labs, Clearbit) may be outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate. We are not responsible for the quality of third-party data.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, logos, and branding ("LeadLens" and "Neural Forge"), is owned by Neural Forge and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
7.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of the contact data you collect and any content you create (such as digital business cards). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
8. Third-Party Services
LeadLens integrates with third-party services including Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Resend, Prospeo, Hunter.io, People Data Labs, Clearbit, HubSpot, and user-selectable AI vision providers (xAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini). Your use of these services through LeadLens is also subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services. If a third-party service experiences downtime or changes its API, affected LeadLens features may be temporarily unavailable. 9. Payment and Subscriptions
Certain features require a paid subscription. Payment terms, pricing, and billing cycles are presented at the time of purchase. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEURAL FORGE AND ITS OWNER, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM: (A) INACCURATE AI TEXT EXTRACTION; (B) INACCURATE THIRD-PARTY ENRICHMENT DATA; (C) LOSS OF LOCALLY STORED DATA DUE TO BROWSER CLEARING, DEVICE FAILURE, OR USER ERROR; (D) THIRD-PARTY SERVICE OUTAGES; OR (E) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT NOT CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Neural Forge, its owner, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) your misuse of collected contact data.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination unless the violation is severe or poses an immediate risk. Your locally stored data remains on your device after termination; server-side data will be deleted within 30 days.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, when feasible, by notifying you via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Neural Forge regarding the Service, superseding any prior agreements.
